It’s been a kind of a crazy week here at ODC HQ with our first snow days of the year, playing catch up and getting ready to go out of town this weekend for the fifth installment of #tcoyos.
But I did manage one whole post this week, and it happens to be great for the frugal upcyclers in the house. I used an old T-shirt of my daughter’s and an old pair of jeans to make a couple of curtain tie backs that are quick, easy and no sew. (Though you could use regular fabric and sew a little bit, if you wanted.)
There were so many great posts last week I had a hard time picking my favorites, but here goes.
A Party of Four’s DIY Disinfectant Wipes are brilliant and will save you a ton of money this time of year. I also love them because the wipe solution is just alcohol, dish soap and water, so you’re not getting a bunch of chemicals and fragrances included in your wipes.
Mother’s Messy Madness shared an older post but it is amazing. You’re going to want to check out her fabulous shop made out of packing boxes. The homemade felt food is a great touch, too.
And my online buddy Planting Peas has a super post about 13 different ways to play with a Melissa & Doug abacus. Take it apart and put it together in different ways to make a clothesline, a ribbon weaving loom, a hundred board and more Montessori-inspired activities.
