Frugal Family Linky June 11

I don’t know how it is where you are, but it has gotten hot fast here in Arkansas. I just enjoyed some of my use-it-before-it-goes bad strawberry syrup on a bowl of chocolate ice cream (and my husband made sort-of daiquiris with it last night). Suddenly summer doesn’t seem so bad.

This Week’s Featured Posts frugal family linky picks

I guess I’m thinking about summer vacations this week, because all of my favorite posts sort of have to do with travel.

If you’re going on a road trip with kids you’ll want to check out the series More with Less Mom is working on. This particular post talks about planning for a long car trip, what to do when you take breaks from driving, and how to avoid spending on the road (as well as when you might want to).

Have some shells from a beach vacation? Add some beads, string and an embroidery hoop to make a beach-themed mobile perfect for a little mermaid’s room. Thanks for sharing, Little Worlds!

And while you have the shells out, try a Montessori-inspired mystery bag game using shells, stones, glass beads and sandpaper. Learn more at Bambini Travel.
