Frugal Family Linky August 20

The girl has been back in school for a week and it feels like things are calming down a bit here at ODC HQ. (Speaking of, if you didn’t see my cute back-to-school sign, go check it out. I made with with a canvas, some chalkboard paint, DIY stamps and a little chalk. Super sweet.)

This Week’s Featured Posts This week's frugal family linky includes organizing ideas, a treasure hunt and an old-school craft for kids

I’m still working on getting things more organized in the house (and getting rid of a lot of stuff), so I liked this post from Earning & Saving with Sarah Fuller all about small spaces you can use to get more organized. (Personally, I love over-the-door shoe organizers and should really add some to the girl’s closet doors.)

The girl loves scavenger hunts, and she recognizes a few world landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, so I think she’d love this world landmark treasure hunt, which is a free printable game from Non Toy Gifts. So cute.

And the Girl Scout in me loves this idea for a super simple duct tape sit-upon from There’s Just One Mommy. Did you ever make these when you were a kid? It’s a handy way to have a comfy place to sit outside and an easy craft that kids can help with, too.
