One of the things in my summer tub for the girl was a set of Rose Art Sidewalk Chalk Paint Markers. I found them at JoAnn but I assume they are other places that sell sidewalk chalk as well. They come in standard colors of red, yellow, blue and green as well as neon colors.Looking for a fun summer art supply for kids? Try these sidewalk chalk paint markers.

The markers are basically large plastic tubes with a crayon-like top, except it has a hole in the bottom and a spongelike insert that slows down the flow of the paint. The markers come with chalk powder inside, and you fill them with water to make the paint.Looking for a fun summer art supply for kids? Try these sidewalk chalk paint markers.

If you’ve ever made chalk paint you know the sort of consistency you’ll end up with. The sponge in the tip keeps the paint from all falling out at once, and if you do it just right you can actually make drips that look like the star-shaped tip.Looking for a fun summer art supply for kids? The colors are nice, but the idea behind these is that you have to keep buying the chalk powder, because you’ll use most of it in one coloring session (and adding more water makes a lighter color with what powder is left). But of course you can also make your own chalk paint to use in the markers. You’ll need to make it thinner than you usually do so it will floe through the tip, but it’s better than buying more chalk powder.Looking for a fun summer art supply for kids? The girl really liked playing with this and I’m sure we’ll be using them throughout the summer.
