Summer is in full swing here at ODC HQ. We’re about halfway through the first part of summer where the girl is home every day, and we’ve been doing tons of activities and outings (yesterday was the children’s museum, which is always fun/exhausting), and she’s in the midst of her swimming lessons, so there hasn’t been a lot of time for writing. But I really like this time with her, too.
Speaking of having kids home for summer, this post on 2 Dishing Divas about kitchen science experiments is a lot of fun. Learn how to make a “lava lamp” and DIY slime. So fun.
Baking is a favorite activity when the girl is home, and while I’m not sure she’d like these hummingbird cupcakes from Lydia’s Flexitarian Kitchen, they sound pretty yummy to me. Hummingbird cakes combine banana, pineapple and coconut and are a great flavor for summer.
And I keep sharing building projects because I think I’m trying to talk myself into trying one of them. This DIY wood serving tray from Sawdust Sisters is really cute and doesn’t look all that difficult, especially if you had the wood cut for you.
This Week’s Linky
Thank you for listing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party. Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. We will also feature different projects so head over there to see if you were featured! Check them out here:
You can also find us on Pinterest, where we will share featured posts.
Don’t forget to grab our “featured on” button if you like!
There are just a few simple rules:
- Link to a specific post, not your home page.
- Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
- Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
- Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
- Have fun!
