Creatively Crafty Link Party Week 28

The girl started back to school today, and I think we were both pretty excited about it. She told me it was OK to leave her in the cafeteria before her class went to its room (which was OK exactly one time last year), so I think she’s going to be fine.

As for me, I’m excited about the quiet and the ability to pare down my to-do list a little more efficiently than I have all summer, as well as having more time, space and energy for making and writing. All good things, much as I loved our time together this summer.

Creatively Crafty Link Party week 28

There was so much cute stuff this week it was hard to limit myself to my usual three!

Coloring pages for grown ups are all the rage these days, as you know, but did you know you can actually buy coloring book style fabric? Naturally such a thing needs to become a project you can draw on with fabric markers, which is just what Pam at Clever Little Mouse did. She made pillows and a pouch that are perfect for coloring.

Frugal Elegance has a sweet little storybook shower wreath that makes my book-loving heart hurt a little bit, but it would also be super cute in a kid’s room or playroom reading area. And you could make it with well-loved books that aren’t really readable anymore and that would make me feel better.

And because I’m really into paper crafting right now (thanks to getting ready for the girl’s birthday) I also love these fruity gift tags from White House Crafts. So simple and cute!

Try it - Like it

There are just a few simple rules:

  • Link to a specific post, not your home page.
  •

  • Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
  •

  • Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
  •

  • Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
  •

  • Have fun!
