Creatively Crafty Link Party Week 77

Hi, crafty friends! It’s a good news/bad news kind of day here at ODC HQ.

The bad news is that this is the last week I’m hosting the Creatively Crafty Link Party.

The reason is because of the good news: I recently launched a new blog, Minimalist Crafter, and I need more time to devote to it. Please give it a look if downsizing your craft supplies is something you want or need to do; and feel free to join us on Facebook, too, where you can share your stories, get motivation and post before and after photos. So fun!

This Week’s Featured Posts

creatively crafty link party features week 77 I’m not ready to think about back to school (mostly because my daughter does a summer program and this is the last week of it so we haven’t really had a lot of “summer” yet) but I know it’s time for some back-to-school crafting.

If you want just about the easiest backpack bling ever, check out the tutorial from Dazzle While Frazzled. She made a cute personalized backpack tag out of a prepainted wood shape. Use an unfinished shape to make it a little craftier, if you want (the kid can even paint it themselves for a totally custom look).

Need a place to corral homework supplies? Make a quick wooden box with the plans from Time to DIY at Lolly Jane. Or if you’re not that handy, maybe you can find an old drawer, box or basket you could fancy up for this purpose?

This last one has nothing to do with back-to-school and everything to do with how adorable succulents are. Check out these amazing Shrinky Dink succulents in a die-cut terrarium from Lynda Creates. I’m not sure how this could possibly be more on trend. Or cuter.

There are just a few simple rules:

  • Link to a specific post, not your home page.
  • Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
  • Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
  • Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
  • Have fun!
