Spring cleaning and wedding season are dominating the featured posts this week. I definitely need to do more organizing and purging in my craft room as I get ready for summer, but I’ve reached the age where no one I know is getting married. Still, this gift idea is really cute! Enjoy.
This Week’s Featured Posts
People who like to craft with yarn also like to decorate with yarn, and it’s a great idea to use a little yarn to make boring accessories more fun. When Millie from 2 Crochet Hooks cleaned out her craft room, she decided to embellish some storage baskets by weaving crochet chains through them. So cute and a great use of materials.
If you need a wreath for summer, check out this idea from Condo Blues. Her wreath is made with scrap wood circles from a circle saw, but you could use the same idea with different shapes or purchased wood blanks, depending on your supplies and the look you’re going for. It’s really cheerful and great for the season.
And Bridget from CraftyBridge has a great two-part tutorial for a wedding shower or housewarming gift: an etched-glass casserole dish with a sewn casserole carrier. Practical and cute, it’s sure to get a lot of use!
