I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things (and spending a lot of time reclaiming my office) this week, and while I haven’t actually done any crafting myself I’m getting inspired by all the great things shared last week in the link party.
I really love dyeing fabric, though I don’t do it very often. It feels like a lot of work but it’s really just a lot of time, and it doesn’t require a lot of fancy equipment or supplies. Check out the Chelsea Project’s tutorial for tye-dyeing fabric with turmeric. I want to try this. It’s so pretty!
The girl is in school for a few weeks, but she has another summer break in August, so I’m still on the lookout for good projects to do with her. These decorative birdhouses made from milk cartons from All Things Beautiful is a great craft that kids and adults can do and would be lovely sitting in the garden.
I’m not great at origami, but with the help of the templates from the Craft Patch I just might be able to make these cute DIY geometric bowls, each made with two pieces of scrapbook paper. They’d be great for holding little things on your desk or for little pieces when working on a craft project.
This Week’s Linky
Thank you for listing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party. Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. We will also feature different projects so head over there to see if you were featured! Check them out here:
You can also find us on Pinterest, where we will share featured posts.
Don’t forget to grab our “featured on” button if you like!
There are just a few simple rules:
- Link to a specific post, not your home page.
- Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
- Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
- Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
- Have fun!
