I am having a hard time finding/making time to do anything crafty lately. But it makes me happy to see so many people sharing great ideas in this link party, so I know I’ll have lots of fun stuff to make when I do have some time and energy to get back to it. In the middle of August or so.
This might be a little more involved of a project than some of you (maybe me, too) would want to do, but I love the finished look of the DIY magnetic chalkboard from Little Free Monkeys, who claims that it’s easy (and really it is). She used a piece of galvanized sheet metal from the hardware store painted with chalkboard paint to make this great double-duty project.
Because I did a project with jute glued on a container recently (see jute plant container) I couldn’t resist sharing Small Home Soul’s Mason jar pencil holders, which are painted and have jute at the top. Super cute.
And because the Olympics are coming up and getting crafty is a great way to learn about them, here’s a great Olympics themed kids craft from Al Things Beautiful. They made a Brazilian flag, a torch and medals. So fun for your own Olympic games or unit study.
This Week’s Linky
Thank you for listing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party. Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. We will also feature different projects so head over there to see if you were featured! Check them out here:
You can also find us on Pinterest, where we will share featured posts.
Don’t forget to grab our “featured on” button if you like!
There are just a few simple rules:
- Link to a specific post, not your home page.
- Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
- Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
- Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
- Have fun!
