Hello, crafty people! Thanks to everyone who participated in our birthday linky last week. I’ve been sick all week and haven’t gotten to do a lot of crafting this week/month, but I am full of enthusiasm for finishing some projects so I can move on to some new things.
First, a shout out to the winner of our birthday contest! Pillar Box Blue got the most clicks to her post about roses made out of old maps. They are super beautiful and easy to make as well. I love the idea of using these as decorations for a party. Check it out if you haven’t already.
Valentine’s Day has come and gone but I think the Valentine birds on a branch project from Lynda Creates would be lovely as a spring decoration, too, with or without the hearts. I love that she used sheet music with lyrics about birds to make the birds, but any vintage paper (or, heck, more maps) would do.
I have always wanted to try soap making (and have at least one kit in my craft closet) so I’m checking out some of the recipes in this collection of soap making recipes at Keeping It Real. Have you ever made soap? Do you have tips for me?
This Week’s Linky
Thank you for listing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party. Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. We will also feature different projects so head over there to see if you were featured! Check them out here:
You can also find us on Pinterest, where we will share featured posts.
Don’t forget to grab our “featured on” button if you like!
There are just a few simple rules:
- Link to a specific post, not your home page.
- Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
- Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
- Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
- Have fun!
