Creatively Crafty Link Party Week 56

This week I had a lot of aspirations for crafting, but all I ended up doing was finishing my daughter’s sweater (finally; it was supposed to be done for Christmas!) and working on knitting the sleeves for a sweater I started in 2009. Seriously. Why do we let things linger so long?

So while I didn’t have any crafty projects to share, I’m still super inspired about making (and, frankly, ready to move on from Garter Stitch in brown wool; maybe that’s why I never finished it in the first place?).

Check out this week’s linky for a bunch of great inspiration!

These dyed wood coasters from 365 Days of Crafts are really cute, and I love how she used little bits of wood and cork board to make them. Lightweight, inexpensive and really pretty, too. This is a great idea to keep on hand for gifting.

There are so many cute embellishments you can buy at the crafts store and easily add to a plain dress or T-shirt. Two Dishing Divas shows how to make an infant dress a lot cuter with minimal effort, but these tips are also great for hiding stains on a bigger girls’ clothes.

I love my crafts with a side of geeky, and these little felt robots from KBB Crafts & Stitches are both geeky and adorable. Use them as keychain embellishments, zipper pulls or just ornaments around the house. They’re sure to bring a smile to your face, and they use really simple materials, too. Kids would love to help embellish these!
