Hello, crafty friends! I’ve been writing up a storm about all the crafty goodness I made last week for my daughter’s Daisy bridging ceremony, and I feel like I’m finally done with that and ready to say hello to summer crafting.
I hope if your kids are out of school that you’re having a great time (and making stuff with them!) and if they’re still in school that it’s over soon.
This Week’s Featured Posts
I love the hexagon denim chair cushions from Pillar Box Blue. I especially love that she deliberately threw in some regular fabric to break up the denim and make it look more “patchwork.” If you don’t want to do hexies you could do the same thing with strips or squares. But hexagons are adorable.
Old suitcases are so much fun to use for crafty storage, but when you get them from the thrift store they often look more old than vintage. Create and Babble has a great, easy makeover for old luggage, which she lined with fabric, painted and decorated. There are hexagons in this project, too, I just realized.
These great red, white and blue beanbags from KBB Crafts & Stitches aren’t necessarily an upcycle, but they could be if you used old T-shirts, jeans, even old cloth napkins as some of the fabric. These are a great scrap project in any case, and a fun way to use little bits of ribbon and rick-rack, too.
This Week’s Linky
Thank you for listing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party. Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. We will also feature different projects so head over there to see if you were featured! Check them out here:
You can also find us on Pinterest, where we will share featured posts.
Don’t forget to grab our “featured on” button if you like!
There are just a few simple rules:
- Link to a specific post, not your home page.
- Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
- Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
- Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.
- Have fun!
