This finger knitting scarf pattern is one of the easiest things you can do with finger knitting, and it will actually keep you warm, too. Part scarf, part necklace, this is a project that just takes a couple of hours to knit and is a great way to show off your finger knitting skills.
Supplies

This is a great stash busting project because it takes less than a skein of yarn. I used about 77 yards of Lion Brand Hue + Me yarn in color Harbor. This is a bulky weight yarn (5 on the number scale) but you can use lighter yarn for a different look, or hold multiple strands of lighter yarn together to make bigger stitches.
That’s really all you need since you will be using your fingers as the needles. Well, a pair of scissors and a yarn needle wouldn’t hurt, either.
Finger Knitting Scarf Pattern
This is the exact project shown in my finger knitting tutorial, so if you don’t already know how to finger knit you can follow along over there.

It’s worked on four fingers and you just knit as long as you want. My finger knit scarf is about 16 feet long (that’s xx meters) but you don’t have to make yours as long if you don’t want to.

Bind off your knitting and sew the beginning and the end together.

You can stop right there or if you want to keep the loops lying a particular way you can fasten the loops together in some way.
When I did this same kind of idea as a crochet chain scarf, I wrapped yarn around all the layers to make a band that would hold them all together.

This time I separated the yarn into two pieces of two plies each. First I wrapped a bit of yarn around all the loops a few times, then tied a couple of knots.

Then I sewed a button on top. I like this look and it kind of hides where the sewing was, as well as keeping all the loops together.
Finger Knit Scarf Variations

This finger knitting scarf pattern is super simple but you can make them lots of different ways. As I said you can hold multiple strands to make a single color or multicolored scarf.
You could work sections in different colors for a color block effect, or even make stripes if you want.
I really like my solid color one and think it will get a lot of use almost like a piece of jewelry that also keeps me warm.
