These easy Easter crafts are great for people of any ability and no matter your favorite craft. I’ve collected ideas using plastic eggs, crafting your own eggs, Easter baskets to make, bunny and carrot crafts, paper crafts and more.
There are crafts for people who knit, sew, crochet, or none of the above. Let’s explore these fun Easter crafts.
Plastic Easter Egg Crafts

It feels like the plastic Easter eggs multiply through the years, but luckily there are lots of things you can do with them other than egg hunts. My daughter loved sound games using eggs and we also made plastic eggs into maracas.
I recently made this DIY Easter egg garland that just involves stringing plastic Easter eggs onto a ribbon or string, which is fun and makes a cute Easter decoration you can use inside or out.
It’s a short leap from an Easter egg garland to an Easter egg wreath, like this one from Crazy Little Projects. If you don’t have enough eggs in your stash to do this, hit the dollar store to get a bunch that coordinate.
Make your eggs into tiny planters you can use to start seeds or make into an Easter centerpiece with this cute and easy Easter craft idea from Made with Happy.
Use the same kind of idea to make little candle holders like these from A Kalio Chic Life.
Easter eggs can be turned into monsters or aliens as in this tutorial from Artsy Craftsy Mom, or into fun birds and other whimsical animals like this one from junk & stuff.
Speaking of birds, you can also use an Easter egg as a mold to make a tasty treat for the birds. There are lots of recipes for this but I like this one from Redeem Your Ground.
Of course you can use plastic Easter eggs as molds for other things, too. Bitz & Giggles made bath bombs with Easter eggs, and Mama Papa Bubba made a healthier version of rice crisp cereal treats molded into eggs and dipped in chocolate. Yum!
DIY Easter Eggs

If you want to ditch the plastic eggs altogether you can make your own eggs. I made these super cute felt Easter eggs, which allow you to practice your embroidery and other embellishment skills as you like.
Plain Living Home has a great pattern for fabric Easter eggs with three different options for sewing depending on how fast you want to make them. I also wanted to share this one from Easy Things to Sew because I love that they used an old shirt for one of them.
Want to make eggs to play with rather than to fill? These stuffed eggs from The Velvet Aubergine are super cute for Easter or any other time.
CreativeBug has a great class that includes fillable fabric and crochet Easter eggs, as well as paper eggs that are single use.
If you’re a crocheter, check out the refillable crochet Easter egg from A Crafty Concept, or grab a 3D Easter egg pattern from Yarnspirations.
Weirdly I don’t see a knit version of the fillable Easter egg (guess I’d better get on that!) but you can knit up a solid egg with this easy pattern (worked on flat needles) from Gina Michele. Or try these cute ones, also worked flat with two sizes available and a ton of variations, from Mariana’s Lazy Daisy Days.
These cute origami Easter eggs from The Craftaholic Witch might not hold much beyond a little origami chick, but they’re adorable so I’ll allow it (more diy Easter paper crafts below!).
Easter Basket Patterns

Now that we’ve crafted all our eggs, we need some baskets, right? I have several patterns for DIY Easter baskets including a mini knit Easter basket and a larger Easter basket knitting pattern, a crochet Easter basket and a small Easter basket made on a circular knitting machine.
See also my collections of knit Easter basket patterns and crochet Easter basket patterns (as well as a few in my Easter sewing projects post) for more inspiration.
Try you hand at weaving with this woven Easter basket tutorial from Flax and Twine that actually doesn’t look that hard.
Studio Rosie has a super simple coiled basket made with pipe cleaners and yarn (you can see the DIY on Instagram). You could make a bigger version with rope and fabric strips if you want, or try using plastic grocery bags as your core.
I love this little paper bag Easter basket (which might be more for decor than the egg hunt) from DIY Beautify. Another super simple one is made from a paper plate like this one from Hip 2 Save. Kids would have fun decorating either of these.
If you want to really make a splash at your Easter gathering, you can make this giant Easter basket out of a kid’s swimming pool! Get the tutorial from Living Locurto.
And while not technically a basket I also can’t resist sharing my little bunny bag crochet pattern that would be cute holding some treats in your bigger Easter basket.
Bunny Easy Easter Crafts

I have made several Easter bunnies through the years, including a giant knit one, a slightly smaller but still pretty big crochet version, and little ones made on a circular knitting machine. Let’s take a look at some other options for Easter bunny crafts!
If you’d like to make a smaller crochet bunny, this one from Bobbiny is super cute and looks easy to make. And the sweet hopper knit bunny from Stitcherelly Knits, Anette Grostad (pattern for sale on Ravelry) is tiny and cute and worked in one piece with mohair yarn for extra fluffiness.
I love these little bunny bowls from Alice & Lois, which are just a variation on a pinch pot. Make your own air dry clay with my easy recipe.
This sock bunny from Crafty Morning is so cute and doesn’t even require sewing (though you could sew the ears closed instead of using glue if you’d rather).
The felt bunnies from Sustain My Craft Habit are also made with glue but you could sew them by machine if you want. Theirs are used as a centerpiece but you can also skip the dowels and just use them as decor or toys.
Make whimsical upcycled bunny portraits with these instructions from Pillar Box Blue. Kids would love to make these, too, and you can have a whole bunny family for your wall.
If you want to sew a little bunny, this pattern from Jane Magic Craft is super cute. There are two options for ears and two clothing options: a dress and a pair of overalls. These would be super cute in a little one’s Easter basket.
Carrot Crafts to Make for Easter

Where there are bunnies there are carrots, stereotypically, so why not make some carrot crafts for Easter, too? My daughter had a knit carrot (similar to this one, which is a free Ravelry download from Amanda Berry) when she was little and she loved chewing on it. She still likes carrots so I guess that was some good early training LOL.
Or you can knit a little carrot treat pouch like this one from Clickety Sticks. It’s worked flat in worsted weight yarn and sewn up into a little drawstring pouch for Easter treats.
If you’re looking for some realistic crochet carrots, check out this pattern from Kristi Tullus. I love how they even have the little lines like real carrots do.
You can also sew a little carrot shaped treat bag like this one from Fabricated Closet. The polka dot fabric is a lot of fun. Or try this one from American Patchwork & Quilting, which also includes a fabric drawstring.
And if you want to make a fabric carrot that’s not a bag, Willow Bloom Home Blog has a cute pattern for you. I also like this sweet carrot banner from Crafting Cheerfully, which can use up any orange fabric scraps you have lying around, or just make a couple for decor.
If you have a paperboard egg carton lying around you can make these easy and super cute carrots from One Little Project. Or make a carrot box out of paper with the tutorial from Easy Foldable Creations.
Or use simple foam pieces to make a yarn wrapped carrot like this one from Thrifty Fun.
Easy Easter Crafts Made with Paper

Paper eggs are classic and easy Easter crafts for kids and adults alike. This tutorial from Color Me Crafty gives you the basics, but try making it with construction paper, cardstock or even pages from an old book (or some combination). Or try the honeycomb Easter egg variation from One Little Project.
You can also make bunnies and other ornaments in this same style with instructions from First Day of Home. The paid pattern includes Cricut templates.
Practice paper quilling to make a cute Easter egg design with this tutorial from Artsy Craftsy Mom. Or make these pretty eggs with doilies from A Little Pinch of Perfect.
These little rabbit corner bookmarks from Red Ted Art are so cute and easy to make. Great for the little readers in your life!
Paper daffodils make a charming wreath that’s perfect for Easter in this tutorial from Happy Happy Nester. These are made with construction paper (the template is free but requires an email address).
It’s not quite paper, but the cardboard tube bunnies from Kids Kubby are super cute so I just had to share them. The little carrot is adorable, too.
Tissue paper suncatchers are a fun craft for kids and easy for adults to make, too. The templates from Fireflies and Mud Pies include a bunny, chick and Easter eggs.
Use paper cups to make these adorable bunnies from Play Party Game. This is another one kids would have fun making.
