It seems like I’ve been doing nothing but writing guest posts lately, which is not exactly true, but there has been a bit more of it than usual this week.

First, my pal Amanda, who shared her tips on subscription boxes earlier this week, hosted me at Let’s Talk Learning, the blog component of the website for her forthcoming book. I shared five reasons to craft with kids. If you read my blog regularly, you know this is a passion of mine. I think it’s so important to get creative with our kids, even if you don’t think of yourself as very creative or crafty. There are developmental reasons to do it, but it’s also just fun and really great bonding and talking time. perler beads

And I have another post at Not Consumed this month all about creating and learning with perler beads (or melty beads, fuse beads, whatever you want to call them). Making all the different shapes for this post actually injured me, such that I couldn’t knit for a week. If you do this, you’ll not try to make them all in the course of two days, I hope.

Also, sharing this post means I get to share this awesomely adorable picture of my kid. That face is totally worth the pain, right? Go check it out!

What have you been up to this week?
