Note: Melissa and Doug didn’t compensate me in any way for this post. I am an affiliate and there are affiliate links in this post. But I also love them. We have a lot of Melissa and Doug toys.
Melissa and Doug is one of my go-to brands when it comes to gifts for my kid and for other people’s kids. I love that their toys are creative (and we have a lot of their art supplies, too); well made out of wood, metal and other hard-to-destroy materials; and they’re just fun for kids and adults alike.
But as my kid gets older, she just has more stuff and it’s harder for me to come up with things she’s really going to use, play with and enjoy (though she has been asking for an easel lately). Which is one reason I love Melissa and Doug’s Holiday Online Catalog and Terrific 25 Holiday Gift Guide. It’s a way for me to see some of their new toys at a glance and get some new ideas for the girl as well as for gift giving to others.
This year’s 25 includes a wide range of gifts, from dramatic play (lots of “play house” kind of things) to art supplies, games, learning clocks and even a xylophone. I’m attracted to the Whittle World farm because the girl loves the Whittle World bus she got last year, but she’s also been really interested in clocks lately so it might be time for the Turn & Tell Wooden Clock, too.
Whichever of these 25 gifts catches your eye, you have a chance to win them through the Terrific 25 Holiday Gifts Giveaway. They’re giving away one of the toys each day, and on Black Friday one winner will be picked who will get all 25 gifts. (You only have to enter once to be eligible for all the giveaways.) Check out the Melissa and Doug Facebook page for more information on how to enter.
And even if you don’t win, I hope you’ll find something you might like to add to your kids’ wish list. Please let me know if you do!
