This is another one that is sort of inspired by my library trip, but mostly not.
There’s a book in that stack on paper cutting, and the projects in it are amazing. I can’t wait to give it a deeper look.
In the meantime, though, I had paper cutting on my mind, so I decided to do some super old school paper cutting with the materials I had on hand, which included the Sunday comics, a scrap piece of paper and a pair of my daughter’s scissors (why hers were on my desk and not mine is anyone’s guess).
Simple Paper Cutting
There’s no real instruction to this prompt. Just fold your paper and make some cuts.
Realize all your cutouts are now individual layers because you cut too much.
I really like this one.
The kids in the girl’s class love doing random paper cutting, and I kind of do, too. I’m definitely using one of those comics sheets in my art journal, and they look like they might be cool stencils, too.
This is a project you can do anywhere there is paper and scissors, whether at home or at work. So do it, take a picture and tag me with #ourdailycraft, why don’t you?
I’d love to know what your creative plans for the weekend are, too!

Sarah,
Nice share here, it sparks some inspirations. I myself love playing with papers and I do anything from manila papers, anything that comes into my mind and by the time I realize the floor is usually full of cuttings 🙂 And I must say that snow flake cutting just looks wow – Will play around with a little twist.
Thanks
Cindy
