Now it’s time to add more color to our slow art canvas.Ad more paint to your slow art canvas with a credit card

Because I sometimes combine fast thinking and slow projects, I kind of picked the colors I chose for mine at random. I wanted a neutral — which is brown — and a couple of brighter colors that would look good with the original green — blue and red.paint spirals slow art

I squeezed paint onto the canvas randomly, then spread it around with a credit card.

Painting with a credit card is one of my favorite ways to add paint without a brush, and it’s cool because the colors manage to stay somewhat distinctive even as they blend.credit card painting

I decided to go with straight up and down lines pretty much all over the canvas, but of course you can do it however you want, with as many or as few colors as you like.

Take your time with it. Maybe you will decide to do another layer going in a different direction, or add a wash of another color on top. It’s all up to you!

That’s it for today! I hope you’re taking it slow along with me.
